Theresa May gets new job as the voice of the Speaking Clock

Prime Minister Theresa May has started a new part-time job as the voice of the Speaking Clock.

Bosses at the Speaking Clock were impressed by May’s cold and robotic tones and offered her the job on the spot.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“We’ve never had a sitting Prime Minister doing this job before but Theresa told us at the interview that she was looking to move on from her current job as it was all getting a bit too much for her. We put her in for an audition and she took to it like a duck to water. It was supposed to run for 10 minutes but we had to stop her after 20. She absolutely loved it. There are a few things we need to work on before she starts – she keeps dropping in the phrases ‘Strong and Stable’ and ‘Getting on with the job’, which she repeated about 60 times.”

Theresa will start her new job in August after the next General Election.
