Severn Bridge to be renamed Bridgey McBridgeFace

The Second Severn Crossing is to be renamed Bridgey McBridgeFace.

The announcement was made in a car park of a Little Chef on the side of the M4.

Dilys Dickwad, Chairwoman of the Bridge Naming Association told WalesOnCraic:

“The Second Severn Crossing has always been a bit of a mouthful. We’ve been running a competition down at the local bingo hall to come up with a new name. It’s been running for two weeks and last night, we were able to pick the winner. From August onwards, we are pleased to say that the bridge will be formally known as Bridgey McBridgeFace. It’ll be free to come into Wales and we’ll even throw in a free sheep to those visiting our lovely country from abroad. We are working in conjunction with the Tourist Board to get more people here.”

Locals weren’t too happy with the new name. Magor resident Hattie Quarterwit said:

“What a stupid fricking name. I would have preferred it to be called Colin or something classy like that.”
