Russell Slade: Stella Filming Schedule Affecting My Work at Cardiff City

Cardiff City manager Russell Slade has admitted for the first time that his filming schedule for Sky TV’s comedy series Stella is taking its toll.

Slade, who plays the part of Big Al, made the announcement at a press conference yesterday.

He told the press:

“As much as I love playing the part of Big Al, I have to admit that the filming schedule is having an effect on my work down at City. I’ve been in the series since the start, way before I started work at Cardiff. I’m finding it hard to juggle both.”

Slade’s admission comes as Cardiff City’s results have officially been classed as ‘shit’ by the local press. But Slade is adamant that he can manage to turn things around.

“I’ve got some time off now and I can focus purely on the football. I’ve got Little Al cooking so I don’t need to worry about that plus I’ve got Ruth Jones coming round tomorrow to call me Presh two thousand times. Things are looking up.”

But critics have been quick to voice their opinion. Gerard Smooth told WalesOnCraic:

“You don’t have make some shit up just to get a quick laugh. Why don’t you get a proper job. Bluuuuuuuueeeeeebirds.”
