Grammar Nazi arrested for being a sanctimonious arsehole

A Grammar Nazi from Cardiff has been arrested on grounds of being a sanctimonious arsehole.

Tarquin Smug was arrested after publicly shaming a woman who got her there/their/they’re mixed up on Facebook.

Police told WalesOnCraic:

“While we appreciate the correct use of grammar and punctuation, these vigilantes are taking matters into their own hands when they should be leaving that sort of thing to us. Mr Smug was arrested after one lady posted something that contained incorrect grammar on social media. We cannot reproduce what she wrote here because it was that bad. Mr Smug then proceeded to screenshot the lady’s post and share it to all major news channels in an attempt to make fun of the lady. The lady was able to correct her original post but Mr Smug’s screenshot showed the original error. We arrested Mr Smug on the grounds of being a sanctimonious arsehole and he’ll appear in court later this week.”

Mr Smug told reporters that he’d had enough of people not using correct grammar and punctuation.

“One has to remember that one must use the correct grammatical language whenever one is in public. I’m simply making the world a better place.”
