A dog from Pwllheli has been officially charged with stalking after following his owner everywhere he went.
Rufus the Dog was arrested last night after following his owner to the bathroom 17 times in one day.
His owner told WalesOnCraic:
“He’s a lovely little boy but Christ, he drives me crazy in the house. I get up for a piss and he’s there – like my shadow. I go to make a cup of tea – there is he again. I lift my leg up to fart – there he is – at my feet, trying to find out what’s going on. I warned him and warned him that he had to stop following me around but he wouldn’t listen. In the end, I called the police and they arrested him. I found out this afternoon that they’ve officially charged him with stalking. I was going to tell them all about the times he wanted to go outside, just to come back in again but I knew they’d come down on him like a ton of bricks if I did. I just want him to get a slap on the wrist.”
“I’m only going what dogs are supposed to do. I genuinely thought he was getting up to do something interesting. It’s not my fault if my owner’s a boring fart.”
Rufus could face having his favourite toy taken off him for three days if found guilty.
