Cardiff bus driver uses Cardiff Council’s £3 million bus lane

A Cardiff bus has been spotted using one of Cardiff Council’s £3 million bus lanes.

The No.21 was seen entering the bus lane on North Road and moving back out again 30ft later.

One motorist who didn’t want to be named said:

“I couldn’t believe my eyes. I thought I was seeing things. Usually, the buses follow the rest of us proper motorists. I saw the bus indicate to move into the bus lane but I thought he was joking. Then he actually pulled into the bus lane. I think he realised his mistake pretty quickly because he pulled back out into the road.”

A spokeswoman from Cardiff Council said:

“Our bus lanes allow commuters to get to work 2 minutes earlier than they would have without our £3 million bus lane.”
