US superstar Beyoncé and her fella Jay Z snuck to Chippy Lane last night, looking for a bag of crisps.
The pair, who are staying in the nearby Travelodge, had the midnight munchies after getting twatted in Kiwis Bar.
Beyoncé told WalesOnCraic:
“I got back to the room and I said to Jay that I was hungry. Luckily, he’d brought an A-Z of Cardiff with him and he noticed that there was a street nearby called Chippy Lane. In hindsight now, we must look so silly but at the time, we were so hungry that we forgot that chips over here are proper chips, and not shitty crisps. So we headed out late at night and all we came across were shops that were selling fries. In the end, we had to go a nearby convenience store where we bought ourselves some chips, or crisps as you call them. I went for a packet of Monster Munch while Jay settled for a packed of Quavers.”
Beyoncé and Jay Z are in town today to kick off their Beyoncé and Jay Z World Tour. After Cardiff, the tour will visit Port Talbot Leisure Centre, Gorseinon Community Hall and The Three Bells pub somewhere in the middle of Wales.
